ARRANGING A SIGNATURE IN MSPAINT Character signatures seem to be rather popular. Ship signatures, signatures proclaiming a love for a certain character... they're all pretty commonplace. I've seen some good ones and I've seen some bad ones.

Now you shall repeat the mantra.

Just because I only have Paint does not mean I cannot create beautiful art.
Just because I only have Paint does not mean I cannot create beautiful art.
Just because I only have Paint does not mean I cannot create beautiful art.

Okay, got that?

Now, I'm going to show some examples of really, really sucky sigs made especially for this tutorial as an example.

What's wrong with it:
This signature is poorly laid-out. It's just a bunch of pictures placed misshappenly upon a black background. The text is badly-done - it's placed in the middle, yet is uncentered. Also, Times New Roman, especially in yellow, is NEVER a good font choice for signatures. The JPG compression is too high, resulting in a blurry appearance.

What's wrong with it:
Again, you can see that the JPG monster has been to visit this signature, and once again, the layout is poor. It has an overall 'unbalanced' look and way too much empty space. Empty space is your enemy; remember that.

The faces in each picture are mismatched in size, giving it an uneaven appearance. Also, the picture on the left is looking left - outside of the signature. This draws the eye's attention away from the signature, which isn't a good thing. The text covers part of the faces on two of the pictures and the choice in text color is extremely poor.

Got that? Now we're going to the next part - what you SHOULD do.
