The Despie Test

Well... why not? Despies are just as annoying as Mary Sues, in my opinion.

A despie (pronounced "DESS-pee," plural "despies") is a character who acts in a manner that indicates that they are desperate for attention. (Hence the name.) Not to be confused with the word "despise."

How to use this test
"You" refers to your character. Click the corresponding box to any question which you can answer "yes" or "technically yes."

Please, please, please remember that these are the symptoms, not the disease.

Do you have a very pretty or unusual-sounding name?
Do you describe precisely how you look - your clothes, hair, features, etc.?
Do you use words like "sparkling," "dazzling," "enchanting," etc. to describe yourself?
Do you describe your bust/six-pack?
Are you especially pretty or handsome?
Do you wear trendy and/or sexy clothing?
Do you have really nice hair?
1. Is it an unusual color? (Dye/streaks count.)
2. Is it in the current trendy style?
Do you have a piercing and/or tattoo?
Are your eyes an unusual color?
Are you physically fit?
Do you liken your appearance to another character or celebrity?
Are you the most popular guy/girl in school?
The best-looking?
The captain of the cheerleading squad/star sports player?
Are you a band member?

Are you unfairly hated by people in your school?
Do you listen to music that is currently popular?
Do you drive a hot car?
Are you wealthy?
Do you skateboard?
Do you advertise that you are single and looking?
Do you ask other characters if they can be your G/F or B/F?
When you get a boy/girlfriend, do you kiss him/her every post or so?
