The story goes that a boy died of an illness, and his mother wished to scatter his cremated remains in the Haunted Mansion - the boy's favorite ride. The staff denied her request, but she scattered her son's ashes regardless. People claim that you can sometimes see the ghost of this boy crying near the end of the ride.

Supposedly, this photo shows the face of the that boy. (The face is on the right.)

Ostensibly, we have a bodiless head floating in a dark room.

This picture immediately tickled my photographic muse, and I found myself curious as to whether I could create the same effect. So, I waited until dark, put on black clothing, went outside, and started taking pictures by the dim light coming from the windows and the porch light. (Ah, the automatic timer is a wonderful device.)

After uploading the photo to my computer I converted the image to grayscale and adjusted the brightness and contrast. Soon I got it fairly close to the 'ghost boy' photo. So here I am, looking ghostly by the swingset.

I'd really, really like to get more information on this photo. From the appearance of the photo alone, there is no reason why it should be anything unusual. If anyone could actually confirm or dispel where this photo was taken, I'd be very interested.
