During World War II, the US government released a "Victory Garden" campaign to help combat food shortages. Today we face a similar crisis - food and gas prices are going up, harmful farming practices are hurting the environment, and severe weather assures food shortages soon. More than ever we need to take charge and responsibility.

Many believe that the victory gardens of WWII should make a comeback. Read and learn why:

    The Challenge

Create a poster to encourage people to plant their own "victory garden" addressing today's issues, such as food shortages, high prices, pollution, environment, and sustainability.

Since the idea is to encourage the whole family, the posters should be something that the whole family can view.

Use whatever medium and art style you wish. Make however many pictures you want. Edit the old posters if you're so inclined.

When you are done, go here and post your artwork. And share it with everyone else!
